Special to LightningRose: Walk out the front door. Go to the well-guarded, well-lit parking lots. If your car isn't in a parking lot, walk to it, taking just a little care to see if you're being shadowed. If you're being shadowed, go back to the well-guarded, well-lit parking lots and ask one of the guards if they can walk you to your car.

I leave the Oaks at all hours, often with significant cash. I either drive home or take a cab. I've never had a moment's trouble. The Oaks is in a black neighborhood; it is not, in my experience, in a particularly dangerous neighborhood.
